Hello! I’m Nick I’ve been immersed in the dynamic world of Information Technology since 2005, and my journey has been nothing short of exhilarating. Let me take you through my tech odyssey: Air Force Origins: My voyage began as an RF Transmission Systems Journeyman in the United States Air Force. There, I tinkered with traditional RF radio systems and danced with satellite communication setups. The skies were my canvas, and I painted connectivity across the ether. PC Garage Days: Post-Air Force, I donned my entrepreneurial hat and founded PC Garage—my digital workshop. From simple software installations to orchestrating grand symphonies of system and infrastructure buildouts, I reveled in solving tech puzzles. These days, I still offer my wizardry, but it’s more like a bespoke service—tailored to each client’s unique needs. Corporate Chronicles: In 2015, I stepped into the corporate arena at American BOA, where I wielded my skills as a Server & Systems Administrator. The rhythm of servers hummed in my veins. Then, in 2020, I migrated to the Georgia Secretary of State office as their Elections Security Engineer. Safeguarding democracy became my mission. Cyber Sentinel: Early 2021 saw me at DynaSis, donning the cape of a Systems Engineer. I juggled 100+ clients and endpoints—a symphony of digital harmony. But destiny had more in store. In late 2021, I became the first dedicated Cybersecurity member at the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners. As their Infrastructure Security Analyst, I fortified digital ramparts. Tech Arsenal: My toolkit is a treasure trove: Windows, Windows Server, Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, FortiNet firewalls, Barracuda email firewalls, ProofPoint email firewalls, VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix hyperconverged systems, CrowdStrike EDR, SentinelOne, Qualys, and more. I’ve danced with Active Directory, orchestrated DHCP, and serenaded WSUS. And oh, the symphony of Microsoft 365: from Office Admin to Azure/EntraID Admin. Education: My quest for knowledge led me to a BBA in Information Security and Assurance from Kennesaw State University. The halls echoed with bytes and algorithms, and I emerged armed with wisdom.
