About Nick Seward

Growing up as an athlete, I was always surrounded by an environment that demanded a strong work ethic, time management skills, and teamwork. Football and baseball were the two sports that I found to be most enjoyable, not only for the games themselves, but also because they provided me with essential qualities necessary for my preparation in entering the professional world. I was able to learn how to lead a team effectively and how to inspire them to reach for their highest aspirations. I discovered how to be resilient and to use adversity as a means of motivation for striving for my largest ambitions, turning the hardships I face into success. As I worked my way through high school, I took these attributes and applied them to areas off of the field, including serving as President of the Make-A-Wish Foundation Club and as a WyldLife leader, where I assisted and guided middle schoolers in beginning their walk with Christ. My experiences in high school shaped how I have approached life in college. I have gotten the opportunity to continue participating in servant leadership as a member of the War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen and as a senator for the Harbert College of Business on the Student Government Association Student Senate, where I also serve as the chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. As a YoungLife leader for Beulah High School, I have the privilege of creating relationships with high school students to introduce the Gospel to them. Being involved in these organizations has allowed me to build on the skills that I most evidently possess, which include my strategic thinking, ideation, positivity, and my identity as a developer, encouraging others to unlock their true potential in order to reach the goals they set for themselves. As I approach the beginning of my professional career, I am confident in the skills and qualities that I possess, and I believe that they will serve me well in my future endeavors.
