My expertise lies in the design and project management of complex multi-family and mixed use buildings. This includes, but is not limited to- Multi-family residential construction in both wood frame and concrete- Low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise buildings- Mixed use, retail and market strata midrise buildings, office renovations and integrated daycare design- Schematic design for masterplans at rezoning stage. I have seen the completion of multiple projects from design inception through to occupancy. I have experience in schematic design, design development, working drawings, construction documentation as well as contract administration. I enjoy engaging with clients and building strong professional relationships to ensure their expectations and requirements are met in a timely manner to a level of excellence. I am able to guide multiple projects through the municipal approval process of many jurisdictions in the Lower Mainland including partaking in project specific negotiations, public open houses and design panels. I am intent on ensuring the quality assurance and continuity of a project throughout the design and construction phases, with a particular eye for design driven detailing from an early stage through to occupancy. I have a working knowledge of local building codes including BCBC 2018 and VBBL 2019. I am proficient in Autodesk Revit with 3 years of real world experience following a course taken at BCIT in 2018. I am confident in handling 2D and 3D design as well as rendering, graphic design and desktop publishing.
