About Nick Sinilov

As the Head of Market and Structural Risk at BBVA, the largest bank in Mexico, my role involves leading a team of professionals and ensuring robust risk oversight of all risks in trading and sales activities of CIB Global Markets, as well as of the Structural and Liquidity Risk of the 3.4-trillion MXN balance sheet of the bank. My career has taken me across the globe, managing complex risk domains in diverse environments. I have held several pivotal roles, including Director of Market Risk for Latam, CRO for BBVA Securities and BBVA NY Branch, along with key roles within Fidelity Investments and Citibank. My experience across multicultural environments, combined with fluency in 3 languages, enhances my ability to navigate diverse market conditions and regulatory landscapes. In addition to my professional experience, I hold a Master’s degree from MIT and an MBA from Texas A&M, complemented by a Bachelor’s in Aeronautical Engineering (Computer-Aided Modeling). These academic credentials have equipped me with deep knowledge across a variety of disciplines, a strong foundation in analytical thinking, and a strategic approach to risk management.
