About Nick Stock

I'm an operations and account management professional with over 14 years of experience in the events industry. As an Event Performance Manager with Experient, a Maritz Travel Company, I learned the value of relationship building and detail oriented planning. In 2007, I was selected to manage the operations and staff of Experient’s new office in Las Vegas, NV. In the course of working at over 150 trade shows across North America, I have gained insight into what it takes to deliver an event experience that exceeds expectations.My career has been focused on the achievement of operational excellence. In collaborative planning, I excel at asking the “what if" questions and building contingencies into systems and processes. My proudest accomplishments have been centered on the breaking down of complex information and presenting it in a clear and concise manner. I have created manuals and documents that provide easy to understand explanations of standard operating procedures. This enabled my co-workers to successfully complete their tasks with consistent and efficient methods.I have experience in project management, account management and show-site event execution. In leadership roles, I have experience in the hiring and development of staff and coaching teams towards common goals. In my current position, as well as previous ones, I have been accountable for revenue generation, budgeting, and financial forecasting. In 2014, I and my business partner conceived of and launched a new video production marketing service. Despite our best efforts, the new business didn’t meet the team’s financial viability goals and this business is currently on hiatus. On a positive note, the lessons that I learned in launching this venture were very valuable to my professional growth. Since returning to the corporate sector, I have gained a greater understanding of the goals I want to achieve.Most of all, I enjoy being a husband to my wife, father to my son, and a student of life.
