About Nick Tan

With a 10‑year track record as an Account Executive, 4 years in Project Management, 2 years in Industrial Design and now as Chief Remote Pilot and Service Delivery Manager at Programmed, I combine sales, delivery, regulatory compliance and innovation to drive real results. In my current role I oversee all aspects of drone operations, with a focus on regulatory compliance. I manage approvals, exemptions and operational changes through CASA to ensure we meet or exceed standards for safety, airspace integration and government reporting. This involves coordinating training, updating operations manuals, managing incident reports and conducting internal audits to keep everything airworthy and compliant while embedding innovative improvements throughout. I handle account management and technical delivery by working closely with clients to understand their business requirements and deliver tailored drone mapping, LiDAR scanning and ground asset capture solutions. In every engagement I seek innovative ways to add value whether that means introducing new data capture methods or smarter delivery models. My academic foundation in Industrial Design (UNSW) and ICT (University of Wollongong) gives me a user‑centred perspective and a solid technical base. I have driven innovation across design, sales and delivery by leading process optimisation projects such as Programmed360 and developing Smartsheet workflow automation that enhances delivery consistency, operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Across account management, project delivery, design and regulatory oversight I apply innovation to solve complex technical and compliance challenges. I partner with clients and internal teams to streamline operations grow accounts deliver compliant services and satisfy CASA mandates all while pushing the envelope.
