Employed as a Firefighter Paramedic. Worked as an Emergency Room Paramedic under the supervision of the Medical Director. In addition to the Nationally Registered Paramedic scope of practice, working in the Emergency Room allows for an expanded scope of practice to include administration of additional medications as well as antibiotics. Deployed during campaign Operation Enduring Freedom (August 2014 - March 2015) as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic. I worked directly with Physicians and Physician Assistants at the Battalion Aid Station caring for over troops, in addition to providing air medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) support as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic during the transport of routine and critical patients to a higher echelon of care.
