I was the Senior LLP Partner of Paris Smith LLP for 17 years. I specialised in commercial property, lending and charity work. For the past 20 years I acted for banks, lenders and finance companies on all aspects of secured lending work. I advised on acquisitions, disposals, options, conditional contracts, landlord and tenant matters, development agreements and related contracts and warranties. I was in charge of business development and administered the firm's tenders.I headed the firm's Charity and Not for Profit Unit advising on setting up of charities; governance and charity trustee liabilities and responsibilities; land transactions; incorporation, mergers and trading.Since retiring last year I am the Chair of the Mayflower Theatre Trust and of Winchester Hospice Fundraising Charity. I am a trustee of the Rotary Foundation UK and the Constitutions lead for Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland.I lecture to charities on a range of subjects and am proud to be volunteer with the Cranfield Trust
