I specialise in handling construction and infrastructure, energy and resources, and commercial disputes and litigation in Australia and Asia. Construction I assist clients in Australia and in the Region with all aspects of Project Delivery: • Project Inception - procurement and contract negotiation • Project Counsel role – administration of Project contracts, compliance, payment and completion • Dispute Resolution – mediation, expert determination, arbitration and litigation. Dispute Resolution I come from a litigation background having worked in top tier international, Australian and New Zealand litigation firms. I have conducted complex litigation in the Australian and New Zealand Courts and have assisted clients in a number of Inquiries. I have also conducted international arbitration and provided domestic litigation supervision in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam). As Project Counsel, I use my litigation expertise to help clients manage and resolve disputes early in the Project so as to avoid the expense of litigation. Regional Experience I have lived in Singapore and Jakarta. Working in Jakarta provided me with invaluable and extensive ‘on-ground’ experience in assisting clients from a range of industries in relation to the processes and procedures for dispute resolution as well as regulatory and compliance issues in Indonesia. I enjoy this work and continue to assist clients in Indonesia, Singapore and in the Asia-Pacific. My Approach I pride myself in developing close relationships with clients to understand their people, culture and business. I have undertaken a number of client secondments to achieve this objective. This investment allows me to work and integrate with client teams to assist them develop and innovate tailor made solutions.
