About Nick Weber

I joined the Yuba City team in Northern California in Dec of 2014. The owner had recently found a space to build his vision, the FIRST quinoa processing plant in North America. I started an amazing journey at that time. Our facility that was going to be used for quinoa and grain processing was currently being used as a saw dust and paint factory. I spent the next 3 months cleaning 8-10 hrs a day. At one point my supervisor had me help the mechanic and they found I was quite handy, this is where my journey really took off. I was quickly taught to weld and fabricate. I spent the next year literally building a processing plant. I was involved in every aspect from securing footings to building/welding mezzanines to placing equipment. Soon the owner had a fall out with his entire finance department, so of course I was asked to take on bookkeeping. That lasted about 2 years. To start those years my first major project was to get our books through a complete financial audit with a local CPA company. I made it through 2 audits and it was deemed that our Maintenance Department needed direct supervision so, I was moved up to management to create and maintain a Preventative Maintenance program. After about 18 months managing Maintenance our Production Manager moved out of the area and I was asked to take over production. That was Feb 2018, in Feb 2020 Andean was acquired by Ardent Mills and 2 months later I was running the facility.
