Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! My passion for web development ignited when I was 14, kickstarted by my first project, Baloogames - an online gaming website. Initially captivated by the gaming world, I quickly realized that my true passion was in the creation of the website itself. With the guidance and mentorship of my stepfather, a web developer, I embarked on my journey, crafting websites for friends, family, and ultimately clients. This entrepreneurial period led to a brief hiatus when my schoolwork started to be impacted. After completing my studies, I relocated to America to work for an international travel agency. Throughout my global travels, the idea of establishing my own web development agency took root. I laid the groundwork for the business in America, developing a business plan, designing business cards and flyers, and of course, building a sleek website. Everything was primed for launch when I returned to Amsterdam. On June 1, 2014, Dutchwebs officially came into existence. Business started flowing in via referrals and active local promotion. Concurrently, I continued my studies. As time sped by, in 2019, I made the decision to dedicate myself full-time to my business. Alongside Kevin van der Eijk, I co-founded FiveX BV. Today, I am a co-founder and partner of FiveX for 5 years, and, together with another business partner, Lars van Schaick, co-founded another venture, ChannelDock, where I have been involved for the past 2 years. My journey is far from over, and I look forward to the many opportunities and challenges the future will bring.
