About Nico Plat

Experienced IT professional with a broad skill set, and a solid technical background in Computer Science. I have a talent for getting familiair with different subject domains quickly, and for bridging the gap between business and technology. I feel at ease in complex, and (politically) challenging environments. Job positions have ranged from software developer (not any longer, BTW, but I know the drill) to consultant/architect to CTO. My expertise includes: • IT and Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF, Archimate certified) • Security and privacy (CISSP, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT certified) • Software engineering • Traffic management systems • The Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet) • Formal methods/modeling • Cyber-physical systems Since 2016 I have been working as a self-employed individual, with a focus on IT architecture, security and privacy. Over the years I have worked for many different clients, mostly government institutions. I have broad experience in the traffic management and transport world. In recent years I have gained ample experience and knowledge in the area of the environmental law, more specifically the DSO (Digital System Environment Act). I have a PhD in Computer Science. I am open for job opportunities abroad, or projects that require traveling.
