About Nicol Dunn

I have always been intrigued with communication, and the many ways it can be misinterpreted. That is where my passion for learning and Instructional Design is born from. The intended learner and their understanding of the content should be at the heart of all projects. I have over 9 years of experience working in Curriculum Development and Assessment and Data Analysis. I started out as a secondary Math and Theatre teacher and have since continued my education and gotten an M.Ed. in Instructional Design. I have mostly worked with Instructional Design within the context of an educational setting. I have worked with content matter experts and university stakeholders to ensure alignment of content and worked with assessments to prove learners were taking away what was intended from courses and programs. For over 6 years, I created data driven yearly action plans for an online institution. I have over 10 years of experience creating learning content for adolescent and adult learners. When I am not working, I like to work in my other passion, theater. I have performed in many musical theatre productions and had the chance to write and direct one of my own.
