About Nicola Baker
I am a time served Mechanical engineer to HNC level. At the age of 23 i joined British Gas and served another apprenticeship becoming a Home Service and Repair engineer. Over the years I have gained great communication and customer relations skills, along side problem solving skills. For 8 months in 2020 I was seconded to the position of Customer Delivery Manager. I took my team through the trials of COVID and dealt with customer complaints. Along side the day to day running of the patch/area I was working. In May 2021 I got the opportunity to be seconded to Partner Customer Delivery (PCD) where I onboarded external partner companies to work alongside British Gas. In Sept 2021 I was moved across to manage those partners and secured the role permanently in April 2022. I haven't looked back. It is challenging at times, rewarding too and my hands on knowledge is invaluable. I enjoy going to work everyday, even on the challenging days. Together we make a difference #ONETEAM
