About Nicolas Bauquet
I am Director of the Institut Paris Region (IPR), the leading urban planning and policy institute for the Paris metropolitan area and a key player in international exchanges on metropolitan governance. A graduate of the École normale supérieure with a PhD in history, I have also taught at Sciences Po and Harvard. Specialized in public policy, I previously served as foresight adviser to the President of the Île-de-France Region. From 2018 to 2021, I was Director of Studies and then Deputy Director at Institut Montaigne, where I focused on pandemic crisis management, the role of regions, and data-driven public policies.
