About Nicolas Belanger

Frankly "nerd" at school, I had my first shot for management during the Estates General on Education of 1995-96 as a student commissioner. I then interrupted my doctoral studies to start a family and join the euphoria of telecommunications at the turn of the year Afterwards, it was an experience of formative humility to start again at the bottom of the ladder following the stampede of this market. In 2007, CMC offered me the opportunity to return to industry as an optical specialist in the microelectronics group as part of a multidisciplinary team. This resulted in a transition to management. As someone who saw myself primarily as a scientist, I rediscovered a craze for managing and optimizing organizational dynamics. What sets me apart as a manager? My technical background made me aware of the importance of understanding the mechanisms of value creation in your company, because it is the heart of it. It is the same for information systems, which are also strategic since they are the blood and veins. Employees are the soul. Employee satisfaction in their work is critical to the collective success of the company. I believe in respect for individuals, everyone's desire to do things right, and the responsibility to cultivate the best in others.
