About Nicolas Devaud

As a surgical oncologist at Instituto Nacional del Cáncer and Clínica Universidad de los Andes (UANDES), I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of sarcoma, gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary cancers. With over 10 years of experience in the field, I am passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based care to my patients and their families. I have extensive training and expertise in complex surgical oncology, having completed a fellowship at the University of Toronto, one of the world's leading centers for cancer research and education. I also have a fellowship in HPB surgery from Flinders University in Australia. I am skilled in performing advanced laparoscopic surgery, as well as endoscopic procedures, for a wide range of malignant and benign conditions. I am also involved in medical education and research, teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, and conducting clinical outcomes research and publications. My mission is to improve the outcomes and quality of life of people living with cancer, and to contribute to the advancement of surgical oncology in Chile and beyond.
