About Nicolas Meyer
After graduating from BTS (Advanced Technician Certificate) in naval architecture from Saint Nazaire high school in 2003, I started my career as a design drafter in shipbuilding design offices in Saint Nazaire. I joined Bureau Veritas in 2007 as a hull plan approval surveyor, first in Paris and then in Nantes. My progression in Bureau Veritas led me to take a role in 2014 in Rules development for topics related to steelships structure. Finally, I was promoted in 2024 to take the lead of a small team in charge of the rule developments for the structural strength of all types of commercial ships.
