About Nicolas Sanchez

I am a foruth-year student at UNC Charlotte pursuing a double major in International Business and Finance with a concentration in Real Estate and a minor in French. I have recently come back from a 4-week study abroad program at Paul Valery Montpellier 3 where I gained experience in international relations by immersing myself in French culture. I am currently a Resident Advisor at UNC Charlotte where I am responsible for 44 residents. My role is to guide them towards academic and personal success in whatever manner that be. I am responsible for hosting socials for the dormitory to strengthen the community and educate residents on things such as study habits, financial wellness, or mental health. This experience has taught me invaluable leadership skills, professional communication and project management. I am a tremendously motivated individual that has recognized the need for soft skills such as leadership, networking, and communication. Respectively, I am the VP of Operations for the Commercial Real Estate Society at UNC Charlotte as well as the Director of Alumni Affairs for Beta Alpha Psi. These roles require constant communication with the club boards to fulfill operational duties for the benefit of the members of the organizations. These positions require me to develop my ability to lead and communicate as a young professional. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have interned at Activos E Inventarios in their Real Estate Appraisals division, where I traveled around Colombia to evaluate the state of the structure, calculate cash flow of buildings, and perform market research to owners and businesses or the state. My role was to do on site visits and analyze real estate based on the markets in the area all organized on excel. My passion lies in Real Estate, where I am able to play a part in the delivery of tangible assets for individuals to be able to have a roof over there head or for them to have a place to host their business. Promoting economic growth in the region for the benefit to all. I am driven to use my career and skills to give back to the community, with a focus on affordable housing, economic development, sustainability, and poverty. I am always open to new ideas and excited to connect with professionals in Commercial Real Estate or Finance related industries.
