About Nicolas Simon

My experience focuses on Science, Technologies and Innovation in automotive. The first part of my career was for the Research & Development department where I acquired acoustic measurement skills and worked for passionate acoustic topics. As I'm a curious and open-minded person, when the digital world came along I didn't hesitate to take on new challenges, and switched to become a digital analyst in the field of aerodynamic simulations. I did the same when I accepted the position of Benchmarking Leader for Multimedia and Connectivity. It was obvious that this was the job for me. researching/analyzing the best technologies to help design relevant in-car infotainment systems that match market trends. This three-year experience enabled me to set up a powerful benchmarking network (from the marketing team to the purchasing team, via the customer performance team and the competitive analysis team.). With my desire to evolve and follow the development of a project upstream, I became Hands-free Sound Quality Feature Owner within Renault's Multimedia team. I deal with the Sound Capture of Telephony and Personal assistant features. I manage 2 suppliers and make sure that software development is on track to deliver a quality service to customers.
