About Nicole Barnes

Having worked within the wellness team at the University of the Witwatersrand for more than 10 years, I have extensive experience in holistic student development, counselling, mentorship as well as research methodologies, data capturing and report writing. Since leaving the University in 2015, I have developed my skills as a writer and researcher and have had a significant amount of work published in local and international business-to-business publications that services both online and print audiences across several industries. In addition, I have assisted in developing web copy for a number of clients, written press releases, brochure copy and provided proofreading and editing services for a number of clients while working for a media agency. I have served as editor for two publications in the entertainment technology and professional AV industries and have developed my skills as a manager, content creator and social media practitioner. In 2019, I joined DWR Distribution, South Africa's leading distributor of technology for the professional entertainment technology industry and have made a significant contribution to the company's marketing and PR department. I am highly motivated, detail-oriented and a fast and keen learner. I am proud to be a part of one of the most dynamic and innovative companies in the live entertainment industry in South Africa and look forward to growing both personally and professionally within the DWR Distribution team.
