Experienced HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry. Skilled in Microbiology tests and manual/automation diagnosis — specifically in differential tests; usage of API strips, culturing agar plates, Real-Time PCR (EntericBio) to test gastric pathogens, ELISA tests (Gemini; for Helicobacter Pylori), QFIT tests (Faecal immunochemical test) with the addition of using the OC sensor, Parasitology testing (MOCP), HAI bench testing, AST automated and manual testing, SediMax, AutionMax and SedimaxLite testing and Gonorrhoea testing. Also participated in validation of a new automated machine known as the APAS for both Urine & MRSA culture plates. Furthermore, I currently I have experience working in a CL3 laboratory; specifically processing respiratory and TB samples for culture and fluorescent microscopy. I am confident in using the ELI-TECH r for staining slides specifically for both AFB & Gram stain; with the addition of using the GeneExpert PCR, BACTEC for Blood cultures and the MGIT analyser for TB culture. Finally, I have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree - BSc focused in Biomedical Sciences with First Class honours, from Middlesex University.
