About Nicole Bourain

I am currently a Product Manager at Microsoft for Azure OS leading cutting-edge technology development in the virtualization space. It is exciting to be part of a team working on the leading edge of Azure cloud platform development. I bring strong leadership, program and project management skills, cross-team collaboration, organization, customer and quality focus, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Continuous learning and development are important to me. You have to take calculated risks and try new things to really excel. Sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues and new hires is important to me to enable others to grow. I'm also passionate about being a positive role model and advocate for women in STEM and tech. Outside of work I am on the board of directors for Type 1 United, a non-profit I have a personal connection to. It is important to me to help grow and support the Type 1 diabetes community in the PNW. Prior to Microsoft, I spent ten years at Boeing as a Program Manager, Engineering Manager and Production Support Engineer. These roles helped me develop the strong problem solving, project management and cross-team collaboration with individuals at different levels from mechanics to leadership. I also worked closely with manufacturing, as well as airline customers. I supported all BCA programs (737, 747, 767, 787) over the years, both within the factory and at the delivery center. While a manager I was also responsible for a large hiring effort on our engineering team and organized the on-boarding new hires to our teams.
