About Nicole Chitty

As a results-driven and multifaceted executive with more than 20 years of experience, I drive growth through team development and strategic partnerships. During my career, I have communicated at all organizational levels, translated visions into actionable steps, aligned cross-functional teams, and introduced operational processes and reporting that positioned organizations for continued growth, exceeding annual fundraising goals. I have also leveraged an extensive nonprofit career and entrepreneurial mindset to make an impact in a corporate setting. A few notable accomplishments of which I am incredibly proud include: • Coordinating with consultants to establish communications and donor collateral for the first time at the San José Public Library Foundation; created brochures, annual reports, and sponsorship proposal packets that empowered teams to execute a compelling ask. • Playing an integral role in hiring the executive director at Acterra, articulating the importance of focusing on candidates with corporate partnerships and fundraising expertise to create a positive organizational impact. • Building and nurturing a portfolio of 200 donors, 45% of which were corporations, at Middle Tennessee State University; exceeded annual budget targets each year, increasing corporate partnership funds from $3M to $7M. • Demonstrating a strong ability to serve as a storyteller and influencer at the San José Public Library Foundation; presented a digestible narrative to a variety of internal and external stakeholders and prepared and delivered presentations to the board of directors at every meeting as well as to the entire staff team to elevate pitch.
