I have always had a fascination for technology, research and development and medical technology in particular. After studying medical engineering, I therefore started working as a scientist in the field of additive manufacturing of metals at the Laser Zentrum Hannover. As part of my dissertation, I worked on the laser-based powder bed fusion process of Ti-6Al-4V in an oxygen-free atmosphere and also acquired knowledge in the field of process monitoring and computer-aided image processing. I am also enthusiastic about statistical experimental design and evaluation as well as materials science.
