About Nicole Hapeman

As the Chief Product Officer at StateChange Media & Education, I collaborate with the executive team on strategies for delivering our impact mental health content in an accessible way. Leaning on over 25 years experience in mental health, education, and training applied neuroscience, I oversee the training of all content creators and manage the applications of the Universal Accelerated Resilience model in our media and educational projects. StateChange takes a proactive, educational, public health stance on mental health and wellness that can be delivered in community based settings by lay people with a wide range of backgrounds. We understand that medical diagnosis/treatment of individuals through specialized clinicians can be one small part of meeting the urgent mental health needs of the day, and also believe that it is inadequate to make meaningful change at the population level. StateChange has organized and synthesized research from the fields of neuroscience, trauma, human development, resilience science, psychology, physiology, and allied behavioral health and developed simple, universal tools, strategies, and behaviors that anyone with a brain and a body can employ to meaningfully improve the trajectory of their health and well-being. StateChange delivers the tools and skills of resilience science to people in the places and spaces where they spend their time: at work, school, in the community, and online and uses our Universal Accelerated Resilience Model along with storytelling and education to improve mental health for all.
