Nicole is a Technical Designer in Gensler’s Chicago Office. She approaches each project with her client’s unique story in mind, while delivering detail-oriented and exceptional work at every project phase. She also believes strongly in the importance of professionalism, collaboration, and supporting the talents of every team member. Her experience includes the following: •Substantial experience managing all phases of design for numerous skyline-altering projects—including the one of the world’s largest master-planned city, multiple Fortune 500 headquarter offices, major hotel and casino project, residential towers, lab science facilities, major airport renovation, and multiple office-to-residential conversion projects. •Leadership experience presenting to developer clients, coordinating with design project managers, and overseeing junior designers to ensure preservation of design intent while staying on schedule and on budget. •Assisted in the design of a major riverfront casino in Chicago, IL, including directing of consultant workflows (structure, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, code, food and beverage, planning, and parking consultants), and analysis of underground public utilities, impact of waterfront location, traffic studies, and local zoning ordinances. •Assisted in the renovation design of a major airport in Chicago, IL, including considerations for security, accessibility codes, maintenance, facilities, and durability. •Assisted with creation of detailed design studies responding to RFPs for speculative office-to-residential conversion projects in Chicago, IL and multiple other US cities, for the purpose of closing the housing gap. •Assisted in the design and construction of the headquarters of the world’s largest company in Bentonville, AR, including consideration of mass timber construction and campus improvements such as branding, bike paths, and green space to enhance employee experience and retention. •Assisted in the design and construction of a new headquarters for a Fortune 500 financial company in Jacksonville, FL, including analysis of adjacent river floodplain changes and rapid employee expansion, which achieved LEED Platinum Certification, achieved WELL Silver Certification, and won Best Office Design in Next Work Environment Competition.
