About Nicole Olson

I currently serve as the Supervisor for Volunteer Services at LMH Health, Lawrence’s only community hospital. My day to day involves interviewing, onboarding and mentoring high school and college students who are on a pre-med or pre-nursing track. The most rewarding aspect of my role is helping place students in departments that fulfill their desire for healthcare and I take great pride in watching them succeed after they complete their volunteer training. In any role I am in, I want to help my colleagues (whether they be full-time staff or volunteers) flourish in their positions whether that be through continuing education, service line development or mentoring. As someone who grew up performing on stage, I am incredibly comfortable with public speaking and enjoy giving presentations. My previous roles have included working with healthcare marketing and communications teams as well as serving as an assistant to a hospital executive and director for a foundation. I understand what it takes to tell a great story and the importance of donor stewardship. I find immense joy in working with people and being part of a team that truly gives back to their workforce!
