The Cottages on Mountain Creek has been my professional home for the past 9 months, where my role as an MSW Intern involves critical crisis intervention and the facilitation of group therapy sessions. With a clinical focus honed during my master's studies in Social Work, I am deeply committed to advocating for the holistic well-being of individuals with severe mental illnesses. Our team's approach is strengths-based, ensuring that every client's path to recovery is built on their inherent resilience. My previous experience as a Domestic Violence Advocate allowed me to develop a profound understanding of culturally specific challenges and to master the art of delivering culturally competent services. This background has equipped me with the ability to navigate complex cases and partner with clients to craft sustainable solutions. As I pursue my LCSW, my goal is to integrate emerging research and ethical best practices to empower individuals and foster positive change within our communities.
