About Nicole Seitz

A writer and music lover with a passion for learning and innovating. In my last semester at Monmouth University, I was awarded "Outstanding Entertainment Writer" for Monmouth University's Student-run Newspaper. The Outlook has been given first place in College/University newspapers for the American Scholastic Newspaper Association for 2017 and was ranked #8 in the nation by the Associated Collegiate Press. I have written for the Entertainment, Features, Opinion, Lifestyles, and News sections and have also been a copy editor. Now that I have graduated, I continue to work hard, currently as a paraprofessional, and do what I love: inspiring and encouraging young people. I am going back to get my Master's in teaching at Georgian Court University. I have traveled to Bosnia-Herzegovina for the past few summers sharing my music and promoting peace through a mission trip brought together by the ELCA's NJ SYNOD. I am also the coordinator for the Bosnia Leadership Team, a group who plans the trip. During my years at Monmouth I became very involved in the student-run record label, Blue Hawk Records. I was an event coordinator, head of outreach, and Treasurer along with initiating various social media platforms and interview series to promote artists and the label. A hobby very dear to me is being the lead singer and lyricist in the band Subway Babes based out of Long Branch, NJ.
