Nicole has over 30 years of industry experience, with an extensive background in manufacturing processes, sustainability and green building. She is passionate about working alongside businesses who want to succeed sustainably - understanding their unique context and partnering to develop sustainability strategy, improve impacts and communicate outcomes to the market to deliver commercial advantage. Recently, she is best known for her strategy, embodied carbon, green building and building products expertise. With deep techincal knowledge and a flair for communication, engagement and collaboration, she works across industries to develop practical and pragmatic outcomes for sustainability within a commercial context. She values industry perspectives and is focused on developing meaningful win-win solutions. Using her combination of engineering, sustainability and marketing expertise, Nicole is focused on clear communication in accessible language to spur on the sustainable transformation of the built environment. With a degree in Chemical Engineering and 18 years of Process Engineering experience, Nicole understands manufacturing at the "hard-hat level". She works with companies to identify opportunities for improvement and growth with a sustainability focus. Nicole has a particular interest in empowering the building products industry to be ready for the challenges of today and the future. She believes that a combination of industry education, collaboration and commercially-focused communication can provide the foundation for change. Nicole's previous role as Senior Manager, Green Star Solutions at the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) saw her manage delivery of Green Star certification for over 4 years. She understands the Green Star rating tools and how to deliver Green Star on projects. She led the development of the GBCA's new Responsible Products Framework and is excited to be able to work with building product suppliers to showcase their sustainability achievements under the new Framework. Nicole’s passion is to inspire, empower and enable people so that together we can address the challenges of tomorrow, today. She is dedicated to supporting industry to find business excellence and commercial success in a sustainability context. She is a sought-after conference speaker, facilitator and moderator.
