About Nicole Tainsh

I currently work as a research and policy analyst with the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation. In addition to my work as a researcher, I act as the manager of the McDowell Foundation. Outside of work sit on the Navera Community Connections Board of Directors. I am passionate about research, human rights, politics and harm reduction (and baseball). Prior to my current role I worked as a community development coordinator for the Gambling Awareness Program – providing harm reduction education across Saskatchewan. I received my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in 2017 from the University of Saskatchewan where I majored in Political Studies and Minored in History. Following my time at the University of Saskatchewan, I moved to Ottawa to pursue a Master of Arts in International Development and Globalization. My research focused on human rights, the United Nations, and Non-Profit Organizations/Non-Governmental Organizations. I completed my Masters in 2019. Throughout my career I have worked in a number of fields including Health Promotion, Research, Education, Addictions, and Sexual Health.
