About Nicos K.

I gain meaning through my work: creating beautiful spaces, a cleaner and safer environment and a stronger community through design. I was drawn to the profession because I love how buildings can define space and enhance our experiences, while at the same time being complex, functional shelters. My role as Director of Operations (DO) in LEO A DALY’s Los Angeles studio is to facilitate operations, support our staff and grow our business – while having fun along the way! I especially enjoy mentoring colleagues and impacting all aspects of our profession. In addition to my responsibilities as DO, most of my efforts involve being the lead architect for a new replacement hospital for the Department of Veterans Affairs at the West Los Angeles Campus. This project will transform one of the largest Federal Healthcare Facilities into an advanced, comprehensive medical campus. The project is in alignment with the campus' masterplan and is sensitive to the Historical District and other environmental considerations. A major focus is the integration of renewable energy generating technologies with buildings and site development. I have the privilege of working with a large team of professionals and over 30 disciplines but above all I find meaning in serving our Nations' Veterans.
