About Nidia Amado

As a Health Instructor at RiseUp Community School, I develop and facilitate inclusive, engaging courses on Comprehensive Human Sexuality and Healthy Relationships—tailored to the unique needs of students and families. With a Master’s in Education focused on New Technologies and Human Resources Development, I combine academic insight with real-world experience to promote holistic, equity-centered, and trauma-informed education. For over 15 years, I’ve worked as a facilitator, public speaker, and bilingual group leader across diverse areas including leadership, effective communication, gender equality, and the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence. I also created and hosted a successful TV and radio show on sex education from a gender-informed perspective—amplifying important conversations around empowerment, consent, and well-being. I hold certifications in management skills, advisroy, mind mapping, healthy relationships, sex education, sex trafficking, Kundalini Yoga, and gong sonotherapy, which allow me to integrate both evidence-based strategies and holistic approaches into my work. By embedding trauma-informed practices into every aspect of my teaching and facilitation, I strive to create safe, supportive, and empowering learning environments where students and communities can thrive. My mission is simple yet powerful: to educate, empower, and inspire individuals to lead healthier, more connected, and more fulfilling lives.
