About Nieika Parks

Dr. Nieika Parks is an health professional who has worked in the education and human resources fields. She currently serves as a Senior Health Benefits Advisor at FedEx in Memphis, Tennessee. She trains employees and management to successfully implement benefits changes and new Enterprise programs, and educates employees about the resources and benefits available. She stays up-to-date on regulatory changes caused by health care reform and educates management about how to apply them. At FedEx, Dr. Parks strives to promote a "Culture of Health." Prior to holding her current position, Dr. Nieika Parks was a Research, Evaluation, Assessment, and Student Information Research Analyst for Memphis City Schools (MCS) in Tennessee. Dr. Parks' responsibilities at MCS included information management and evaluation of district-wide initiatives such as literary and mentoring programs, accreditation, and grading policies. In addition to her role at MCS, Dr. Nieika Parks worked in community outreach as a consultant with Shelley Durfee Public Relations as part of an HIV/AIDS awareness initiative. Dr. Nieika Parks has also served as Director of the Office of Coordinated School Health for MCS and provided executive-level leadership for staff development of the district's health, physical education, and wellness curricula. She also supervised the entire MCS Health Services Department, managed health and wellness initiatives directed at the district's employees, and governed district health and wellness policies. Dr. Nieika Parks also served as a Special Projects Coordinator for MCS and led initiatives under the scope of the Office of Coordinated School Health. Throughout her career, Dr. Nieika Parks has worked in academia as a professor, instructor, and advisor. Dr. Parks lectures at the University of Memphis as an Adjunct Professor in the Division of Health Administration, a role she has held since 2006.
