About Niels Wolf

Setting up a high level Architecture and just hope that people follow the direction you set isthe old school of thinking. A strong combination of management and technical skills makes the choices and setting of the direction of a team or business an easier task to do. With the right doses of knowledge, enthusiasm and persuasion, people will not come to you out of hierarchy, but because they value your opinion and your guidance.Having started from a functional role and worked thru technical maintenance (SAP, Tibco), process control (ITIL), management (Prince2, Agile, team), development (developer) and architect (solution, Enterprise, Retail), I found out that you need to value every part in the chain and need to at least understand how it works to be able to steer an organisation into the digital era on knowledge and experience. Therefore my believe is that the best way to grow is from the bottom to up.I am a big fan of the API, Robotics, BPM and integration methodologies and strongly believe they form the foundation af any digital organisation. By applying these in their fullest capability in a realistic way, I believe it really helps both IT and business to grow together and leverage the possibilities a modular landscape has to offer. Of course like with all methodologies avoid the dogma's,pitfalls, textbook implementations and learn from the misstakes of the past.
