About Nigel A.

Nigel Atta-Mensah is the Co-Founder and COO at NewComma, a portfolio networking platform that links Black and African talent globally, connecting them to job opportunities and funding. In his capacity, he is dedicated to enhancing the platform's growth strategy and overseeing the operational infrastructure necessary to fulfil the company's mission of bridging the talent-opportunity divide in the $2.3 trillion global creative economy, where today, underrepresented Black and African talent occupy less than 5% of available jobs.Prior to working full-time on NewComma, Nigel served as a Vice President and Relationship Manager to the world’s largest multilateral and government organisations, including 9 leading UN agencies, and the largest development bank in Africa, facilitating the flow of over $20B in FX and funding for lifesaving emergency response programs and ongoing development initiatives across emerging and frontier markets, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Growing up between Ghana and the UK, whilst working with people and organisations in over 16 African countries, Nigel's approach to problem-solving is informed by his understanding of the challenges within the Diaspora and sub-Saharan Africa. He is committed to identifying opportunities to foster development and address gaps in services for Black & African creatives, drawing on both his professional background, relationships and personal experiences to develop practical solutions for the NewComma community, which exceeds creatives and entrepreneurs worldwide.Beyond his work at NewComma, Nigel's achievements include being named a UN Young SDG Innovator in 2022 and winner of the inaugural Young Trade Financier of the Year award in 2019.
