About Nigel Aubrey

I am currently the owner/director of JNA Electrical Qld, an Electrical Contracting company based in Brisbane, Australia. We offer all types of electrical solutions, from High Voltage applications, Industrial plants, commercial and residential situations. Experienced and qualified in Project Management, planning and scheduling both maintenance and construction works, Business Unit Management, supervising large electrical sites and am a licensed electrician and electrical fitter. I started my working life working in Power Stations and Mines in Victoria's southeast in a projects and maintenance role as an electrical fitter / mechanic. Since that time my career has taken me to other power stations and mines, gas turbines, and HV, MV, EHV distribution networks within the power generation and distribution industry. I also have significant exposure in manufacturing and installing MV and EHV switchboards, and HV/LV contracting across a range of diverse types of installations and industries. I have been the electrical nominee for large companies and am currently the technical nominee for companies in Qld and the Northern Territory. I have worked for a number of diligent employers and after starting my career at the SECV I have also worked for Siemens, Klockner Moeller, EBAC/HRL, Silcar and Thiess for significant periods of time. I am passionate about my work and always take pride in what I do. During my time working for these companies I have also done various extra curricular studies to earn qualifications in business management and a Diploma in Project Management to give me a good grounding to manage projects and business units and have good corporate governance skills which are utilised in a sound ethical manner. I have shown that I am capable of working in both the roles of principle plant owner and contractor, performing major refurbishment and overhaul works, routine preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance repairs, new installations and large projects.
