Background

About Nigel Burnham

I have over 35 years experience in the electrical installation industry. During this time I have seen many changes, from the equipment, conductors and methods we have employed, to the safety measures we now put in place to protect our operatives. Renewing and upgrading my qualifications as soon as new regulations are released, and staying up to date with all amendments, has enabled me to manage my installation and testing teams competently and efficiently. I have carried out a wide variety of complex, non complex and simple LV switching operations in my role as Authorised Person Low Voltage, I also appoint AP's to projects in my role as Authorising Engineer. I am a PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Master Scuba Diver. To earn these qualifications, a diver must demonstrate the ability to recognise potential dangers and eliminate them before they enter the water. In the event of a problem under water, they must demonstrate the ability to remain calm, think, then act. Problem solving in stressful environments is an ability that have found useful in my role as APLV. • 37 years site based electrical experience • Team Leader/Manager • Authorising Engineer trained • Authorised Person Low Voltage Industrial trained • Appointed NICEIC Duty Holder • Dedicated & organised • Attention to detail • Professional manner • Enthusiastic & committed • Project planning • Project delivery • Installation Quality Assurance & Quality Control • I hold a current black Electrical Site Manager ECS/JIB Card, First Aid at Work, SMSTS, C&G 2391, C&G 2382 BS7671 18th Edition
