About Nigel Copland

I first joined Colin Hutson Accounting Limited in 2014 studying for the AAT qualification to level 4. In 2018 I passed my final ACA examination to become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant in early 2019. I have been in my current role as Associate since 2022. I am part of the management team and my role includes managing a team of staff as well as being responsible for a portfolio of clients ranging from micro and small sized companies, sole traders, partnerships, rental as well as personal tax clients. Businesses cover a wide variety of sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture and retail. I work with clients to support them though the challenges they may face and to help their business grow. We provide services such as tax planning, annual accounts, tax return preparation, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, 3 way forecasts, and payroll services. I particularly enjoy building client relationships and being their first point of contact. Outside of work I am a keen runner taking part in various trail marathons, fell races and road races. I also enjoy teaching myself to play the guitar.
