About Nigel Jacobs

As Chief Executive Officer of Taylor Leibow LLP, a leading professional services firm, he is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the firm. Nigel specializes in managing change and succession planning and implementation. He also uses facilitation skills to bring resolution to complex and difficult issues. He is an acknowledged expert in the practice management of professional service firms and has been quoted and profiled in national and international magazines. Nigel served on the editorial advisory board of CPA Practice Management Forum, a North American Publication. Nigel obtained his CMA designation in 1998 and was awarded the prestigious honourary FMCA designation in 2008. Through the merger of the accounting bodies he become a FCPA, FCMA in April 2014. Nigel is one of three Canadians to win the highly prestigious ACE (Achievement, Commitment and Excellence) award for the management of an accounting firm in 2004 from CPA Firm Management Association (CPAFMA). He was the first Canadian to be elected President of CPAFMA for 2011 through 2012. Nigel served for four years on the Public Accountants Council for the Province of Ontario. In addition, he served as the Director of Finance for four years and board member for the Burlington Chamber of Commerce for eight years. He recently completed his 6 year term on the board of the Carpenter Hospice, including 2 years as Board Chair. Nigel is the Past President of DFK Canada and recently completed his term on the Board of DFK International. He is passionate about leadership and assisting individuals to reach their potential. Nigel is also dedicated and committed to volunteerism and giving back to his community.
