I believe that success is the balancing of the many things; education, learning, family, work, and personal pursuits. It means being able to maintain that balance while striving to grow and to be better at each one of them. I spent 22 years in the corporate environment working for 3M Company in South Africa and Zimbabwe. My career took me through numerous position within sales, marketing and general management. My penultimate position as CEO and Director of 3M Zimbabwe was a significant learning experience! My dream job was always to own and run my own successful business. I enjoy the challenges associated with building and heading up a sucessful family owned business. Coastland Sales is a dynamic company with a national footprint engaged in the sales and distribution of industrial and automotive products. Products include - abrasives, adhesive tapes, adhesives & sealants, power tools, personal safety products, metal polishing products and automotive products. Major brands represented - 3M, Sait Abrasives, Sunmight Abrasives, Dynabrade, Velcro, Tesa, Tensorgrip, Mirka, Marpol and Den Braven. Our own house brand is Boss Brand offering several quality generics. We import a growing diverse range of products sourcing globally. I feel passionate about and love life and especially the people with whom I am closest; my family and friends. I truly love the outdoors, watching sports, fishing and the occasional ride out on my Harley. I pursue them as often as I can. I have found that discovering new ideas and continually challenging myself enhances the things I enjoy and often presents me with unexpected pleasures. I also enjoy international travel and attending various expo's and try to get away overseas at least once every two years. Port Alfred is home from home and we enjoy retreating to the Kowie river. Life is shorter than you think so live it to the fullest and you will be blessed! Remember that it not about whether you win or lose at the end of the day, but it’s about how fairly you played the game.
