About Nigel Lian

Nigel currently works at MOH Holdings Pte Ltd where he leads the Healthcare Scholarships marketing and outreach team to identify and secure healthcare scholars for Singapore's public healthcare sector. He is an award-winning social media and digital marketing professional with expertise in the education and healthcare sector. During his tenure with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, his work had been nominated for and won a few local and international marketing awards such as Mumbrella Asia Awards 2019 (Winner), The Loyalty & Engagement Awards 2019 (Gold), MARKies Awards 2019 (Finalist), Marketing Excellence Awards Singapore 2019 (Finalist), PR Awards Southeast Asia 2018 (Finalist), Marketing Excellence Awards Singapore 2017 (Bronze), Masters of Marketing Awards London 2017 (Shortlist) and The Council for Advancement and Support of Education Circle Of Excellence Awards United States 2017 (Bronze). He is also the Founder of Bring Kids Fishing (an initiative to teach kids how to fish) and baktao.com (blog). Nigel firmly believes that effective social media and digital marketing is not only about being creative (or fluffy) or going viral, it's about obtaining hard, practical and crunchy results. He tries to make use of retrospective technical background as an ancillary asset for digital work. Brilliantly creative at times, he is a firm advocate of investing in a digital community. When he is not working, Nigel is passionate about church, fishing, diving and a little photography.
