About Nigel McKenna

One of New Zealand’s most experienced and respected property investors and developers, Nigel McKenna is highly regarded by New Zealand's property industry, by his clients and colleagues for his ability to create iconic properties and property developments. Nigel’s enthusiasm for innovation coupled with his ability to identify opportunities and bring complex and difficult projects to fruition have made him a leader in development management and urban planning. With a first class honours degree in Construction Economics, and qualifications in construction engineering and building management, Nigel has worked with diverse teams on many specialised projects around the globe in a 25-year career. His work is known for its focus on design, ensuring the finished product is both functional and viable. Nigel has received more than 20 awards, from the Institute of Architects, the Property Council and others, for his development projects. These include Dockside and Shed 5 in Wellington, Beaumont Quarter, North and Stratis at Lighter Quay, and The Quadrant Hotel in Auckland.
