About Nigel Nelson

As a Machine Learning Engineer at NVIDIA, I apply my passion and expertise in artificial intelligence and data science to develop and optimize innovative solutions for the IGX platform. This largely involves deploying AI applications on the edge within the healthcare domain. I work with cutting-edge technologies and frameworks, such as LLMs, LMMs, PyTorch, TRT-LLM, Llama-Index, and many more to create data pipelines, train and deploy models, and evaluate their performance and impact. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where I was involved in several research and internship projects related to AI and ML. I researched the feasibility of using AI to transfer annotations from histology images to MRI images, which aimed to enable non-invasive cancer diagnosis. I also refactored and improved ML pipelines that predicted the effectiveness of healthcare services, and created a web-app that automated the evaluation process.
