About Nigel Tye

In 2020 I joined AHR Shrewsbury as Associate Director to play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of projects within the office and region. I have in-depth experience of leading complex projects in the leisure, higher education, student residence and master-planning sectors where my management, and the clarity I can bring to decision making and problem solving, have been key to successfully delivering projects on time, budget and to the Client's brief. A key asset I bring to my work is innovative thinking to ensure the Client's vision is delivered through pragmatic, flexible, efficient and inspiring design. My passion for innovation, and the overall role architecture can bring to the health and wellbeing of users, was shaped at FaulknerBrowns Architects where I was responsible for briefing, design, coordination, and delivery on major projects across various sectors. From 2009, as Director, I led the delivery of the practices community and performance sports projects including Surrey Sports Park, Derby Arena, Dubai Aquatics, and Coventry Waterpark. My work within the Higher Education sector was developed further when I joined Space Architects to lead the design development of major projects including the delivery of Hull University Sports Hub and the revitalisation / refurbishment of the Claremont Complex Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty Building.
