About Nigel Utting

Having always been interested in numbers (which includes counting cash at my dad's shop from a young age!) it was a natural step to start a career as an accountant. I joined Hazlewoods in 1998, qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001 and as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2011. I act for a wide range of owner-managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. I provide services and advice ranging from routine matters such as annual accounts and tax returns to incorporation and business acquisitions. In addition to general practice, I also specialise in the dental sector, acting for a wide range of dentists across the country. Keeping up to date with the latest developments in this sector, I provide advice on a variety of matters such as pensionable earnings declarations, profitability, benchmarking, employment status, practice structure, incorporation, practice sales/acquisitions and due diligence as well as routine compliance work.
