As a Geologist at AECOM, some of my responsibilities involve: • Assisting with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical data in both the field and office setting. • Conducting soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, and soil vapor sample collection, geological soil logging and interpretation, and oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. • Office activities include the preparation of investigation reports and the management of data. Assisting project managers with budget and scope preparation, development of work plans and overall coordination of a variety of project management tasks related to new and ongoing projects. • Assisting junior staff members with aspects of their job or coordinating activities of a small team. 40-hour HAZWOPER certified | First Aid CPR AED I am also passionate about geospatial analysis, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS), and utilizing technology to assess, analyze, and provide reporting to aid in private and government lead geological studies. In addition, I love to read and study planetary geology, exoplanets, geomorphology, and exploring the possibility of life beyond Earth. I am very intrigued by paleontology, as well.
