About Nihal Mubarak

I am a poet, fiction and creative nonfiction writer with extensive experience teaching first year college writing (composition and critical reading and research courses) and creative writing workshops. My writing has been published in several literary magazines, and I have served as a reader/editorial assistant for a couple of literary journals. As an educator and writer, I'm passionate about designing syllabi and writing stories that value and reflect new perspectives. I also have experience working in the corporate space at Apple as a writer in internal communications and learning and development. I received my MFA in Creative Writing (fiction) from Emerson College, where I was the recipient of a full tuition fellowship as well as the Graduate Dean Award. I have a passion for pursuing diverse creative endeavors and possess a drive and willingness to learn and work with others. My excellent leadership, organization, project management, and collaboration skills allow me to work well both on my own and in a team setting.
