About Nihar Mehta

Life works in mysterious ways by placing you where you perhaps, don’t want to be. That’s how I explain my bachelor’s degree to most questions that come my way. With a strong background in biology being an engineering graduate, I cannot help but observe everything technically as well as aesthetically. Design is not merely an aesthetic term but also functional, and I for one, love finding easy design solutions to complex tangible problems. Applying universal design principles and black-box thinking to products designed around users brings me immense satisfaction and that’s how I intend to sum up my job, but there’s surprisingly more to it than that. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives, and as a designer, I believe empathizing with a broad spectrum of users is one of my biggest successes. I aim to bridge the gap between the development and design teams in organizations while helping them believe in their product enough to make the world use it. I hate to say this but I’d do this job for free. It is my passion. Whenever I'm not pondering over how humans continue to live in badly designed environments, I'm usually tinkering with an old film camera, cleaning my fountain pens, or brewing a mean cup of espresso.
